Another requirement for making money from blogging is consistency. Make sure that you are prepared to post to your blog on a regular basis. Posting regularly can mean that your readers will come back at regular intervals and read your work. For those who are depending on advertising revenue, a strong reader base is necessary.

Decide if you want to include affiliate products in your blog. For most bloggers, this will be the most lucrative route to making money from blogging. Bloggers who are willing to keep up with "hot products" can create a blog and find success making money from blogging.

Deciding your path

Set up your blog and make sure that you provide the legal pages such as Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. You will also need to name your blog and decide what type of theme you will use for your blog. The theme not only refers to the particular look and feel of your blog but also your blog content. Generally speaking a blog that focuses on a specific topic or genre. If you have elected to create a blog for the purpose of promoting affiliate products, you will have a lot of flexibility.

Opening your affiliate accounts

After you have decided where to host your blog, you will need to set up your money making accounts. At a minimum you should have an AdSense account, a Kontera account and an Amazon account. These three used in combination will help you get started making money from your blog.

Making money from blogging can help you fill an earnings gap. While most bloggers are not going to make a significant amount of income, blogging is still a viable money making pursuit. Even if you are not earning a lot of money to start, your earnings will increase over time as you add more valuable content and continue posting to your blog.
