Clearly there is a market for these products if they are getting major media coverage in this manner. And, of course, that's how it works. The media caters to the advertisers who pay the bills. If advertisers want to sell umbrellas to the masses, for example, then umbrellas become the "hot" new topic that is so avidly discussed in the media. With umbrellas on everyone's mind, what happens next? Well, people go out and purchase umbrellas. After all, everyone's talking about them, you see. Umbrellas are everywhere and you see articles about them, talk shows discussing them, and you see all these advertisements for them. So, umbrella sales go through the roof. People wind up buying them even if they don't need them. That's how marketing works.
"Does Size Matter" is really making a name for itself in talk shows. The main reason is because it's a bit of a "taboo" subject.You know, these are really television pioneers who are pushing the envelope of creative discussion by airing such off-color topics... Or, yeah, something like that... The truth is that trash sells, so let's not kid ourselves. People would rather watch a show that humiliates and exploits men, rather than watch a show where men are honored for their heroism or dedicated service. It's sad, but true. The public loves this kind of trashy subject material and can't get enough of it. After all, it's just "entertainment."
But, again, having shows discussing such topics also usher in a whole new slew of advertisers. Advertisers pay for advertising, of course, and where there is money to be made, certainly television stations will do their best to cater to their needs. It doesn't matter if such topics are in poor taste or not. What matters is the bottom line.
Unfortunately, by bringing penis size out into the open in this manner, many men have been made to feel and believe that their penis size is NOT adequate.
