Who Should Choose Dedicated Server Hosting?

Last week, one of my online marketer friends from Australia was sharing his tale of false promise

. One of the over-energetic and poor knowledge fuelled sales man from a reputed website hosting Service Company managed to sell him a dedicated server with a one full year agreement. Initially, he was extremely happy with the decision, as he received a 2% discount offer with one whole year contract; but soon, when he consulted with other bloggers and webmasters, he realized that he made a wrong decision. His current traffic level was such that a VPS server would have done just fine. But he miscalculated the overall expenditure with the usage, and finally concluded that he was told the wrong information. But as he had already signed the contract, and made the payment for one full year, he was stuck.

Webmasters, bloggers and small business owners should judge carefully whether they have any actual requirement of dedicated server hosting. There are instances where the webmaster was sold a VPS server, whereas he needed a dedicated server, considering the way his online business was expanding. Again, wrong decision, based on wrong facts and wrong calculation. Dedicated hosting is a must for such websites. Memory space allocation and bandwidth should be accordingly allocated for optimal performance.

c)Overall business expansion and planning: Are there any other websites or blogs which are being hosted by the client? Is the business owner planning to launch new websites in near future?
