Who to talk to?

Who to talk to?

Who to talk to?

I've read a lot from the heads of marketing and usually I enjoy what I read. They have a lot to offer in the way of innovation and strategies to tackle the field and tried and true techniques. They have a lot to offer on influence marketing, which, as most of you know if you've read my previous posts, I'm kinda into. The missing piece of the puzzle here though is a comprehensive guide of who to target. Sure there are sites out there that offer services that fit into that niche but of all that I've tried I've just been left wanting more. A lot more. They pop off unorganized lists with no priority filters or deliver oddball results that land nowhere near close to home enough to make sense for further investigation. I'm left unable to make the informed decisions about spending on influencers that I want to make.

I want to figure out the specifics of who drives a market. If I can do that then I can cut major costs for my customers and provide them with invaluable information to drive their marketing teams in the right direction and make all the proper and informed decisions about their campaigns. Firstly, though, what is an influencer? Well the simple answer is someone who makes you do or not do something. Next: who are the influencers in your market? But that question is the hardest. There are loads of influencers, with varying degrees of influence, and picking out the best needle in this needlestack is a bit tricky.

As far as I can tell there seems to be no one who can provide a definitive answer to this question. There are plenty of firms that can use a few tricks and maybe divine a few rough estimates of who or what drives the market but not a single one has came up with a proper list of who's who in influence for their market base.

If someone can do that it would definitely send the marketing world into a fray.
