A good thing to remember with horse supplies is to find your horse boots. There are a lot of different boots available for your animal. Begin your search by thinking about where you are going to be using your horse.

If your animal needs their legs protected, for example, a splint boot would do the job. Splint boots protect the lower portion of the leg from the knee down to the ankle on the inside of the leg. This keeps the horse protected from scrapes or blows it may receive either by its own legs or by jumping, etc.

There are also ankle boots that are available. These still protect the lower portion of the leg and ankle, but leave the rest of the leg open. This is a good option for people who like to leave the lower leg as open as possible.

Bell boots are another popular boot option. Bell boots protect the bulb of the horse's heel. They can be pulled on, which is helpful when riding. Bell boots protect the horse and help prevent lost shoes.

You also need to consider what material you want the boots to be made out of. As mentioned before, boots come in a lot of different styles. You want to be able to use boots that are made out of materials that make it easy to put on the boots and take them off. You also want material that is easy to clean.

Keep the lining of the boots clean. You want to be sure that you keep off any grit that may cling to the lining. Horses are like humans. They do much better when they are comfortable.

Be sure that the horse supplies you use are sized correctly. If you decide to use a boot that is not fitted correctly you will have some major problems on your hand. Don't use boots that are too tight or too loose as it can cause issues for the horse.
