Most traditional office desks dont have this functionality and you will see wires all over the top of the desk, but many of the modern desks have cut-outs in the surface of the desk that will allow you to thread wires through.

Materials

You can find some exquisite office desks in a variety of materials, from glass and metal to mahogany, cherry, or oak. Some people like working on a wooden desk because it feels sturdier, but it also seems to make more of an impression in a small room. If you are looking to take up less of the room, then a glass-topped desk is often better.
