One of the most important things to consider for a business function is the hiring of celebrity speakers

. Fines wines and beers, great food, good music and a nice venue are important but an inspirational and charismatic public speaker can make the evening complete.

Their celebrity speaker is guaranteed to add interest to the proceedings of the occasion and if they can speak well that will be a bonus.

The celebrity chosen should be appropriate to the audience. If the audience cannot be defined then some one who has recently been in the news or and icon of the popular culture is often engaged. This person could be a star of the small or large screen depending on the size of the fee budget or perhaps a topical and charismatic retired politician. They should be retired because it may not be appropriate to start electioneering at such an occasion.

So what can these people bring to your function? It maybe the wow factor of having someone usually seen on a screen, large or small, there in the flesh in front in front of a spell bound audience. There is always the chance that the celebrity might mingle with the people after the address and the chance meet this person one on one.

Conversely lesser known celebrities maybe fantastic presenters so could be worth consideration if there is no reliance on their wow factor to get the people to an event. In this case the food, drink and music would have to be good be good enough to be the draw card and the speaker would then be seen as a bonus.

If the audience is to be predominantly technical types then it maybe worth considering the technical or scientific celebrity. Who could resist being addressed by get rich quick dot com moguls or people who have discovered some amazing biological solution in their laboratory?. If the presentation is not so great from the expert then the subject matter to such a gathering could be all that is needed.

Good presenters are often good story tellers and like being read to as a child a good story can be both entertaining and engaging. For that reason many of them may have stepped back from their chosen vocation after a long association with it. This may not be a bad thing in that they may have had time to reflect and gather those stories from their past that can enthrall their audience.

Good celebrity speakers also often bring with them a message. It could be triumph over adversity or success through hard work and determination. What ever it is it should inspire the listener. It is this inspiration that the host may be looking for as this is then associated with the function and therefore the host. The host or business is then seen to be associated with this inspiration and success by implication.
