Why Do People Use Organic Essential Oils?

If you do not know a lot about organic essential oils

, the term can be somewhat mysterious. These oils are used in aromatherapy, a field of alternative medicine that has drawn its fair share of controversy. In this article we'll look at the basic ideas behind aromatherapy and in turn why organic essential oils have become so popular among people from across the UK and indeed the world.

Aromatherapy is famously used by the Queen of England. This lends the whole medicine a great deal of credo, but in reality there have been many studies which have not come to the conclusion that aromatherapy in fact does anything positive to a person. That said, some studies suggest there many some positive effect. Varyingly, each oil has been found to help a person's health, cognitive function or mood.

The whole idea about organic essentiaI oils is that they are pure, and while there are oils that have been drawn from non-organic sources, many would say that organic is the only pure form of the oil, hence why they have proved to be so popular. In order to achieve the aims of the many different oils, there are three main ways that organic essential oils can be taken.

Aerial diffusion is one way, which used for aerial disinfection or environmental fragrancing. The second way is by inhalation, either to help with respiratory problems, or to help with psychological issues. The third way is by topical application. This might involve rubbing into your skin or having a bath with it. All three of these are really dependant on the organic essential oil and the condition of the person involved.

So what kind of conditions to essential oils help with? Well, reputedly Valerian root, for example, helps to keep you calm when faced with stressful situations. Basil, for example, is meant to clear the mind, while Cypress is a natural deodorant, especially good for sweaty feet. You might also try Eucalyptus, which is one of nature's greatest antiseptics. These are just a few of the organic essential oils that are available.

If you are new to the field, then you might benefit from buying one of two oils to begin with. And if you find you are even more interested in the field, you might invest in an aromatherapy box which has small sample bottles of some of the other oils available. It is a science in itself, and one that can be very rewarding.
