Why Do You Learn A Foreign Language?

Why learn language? Why would you want to learn a foreign language

, someone else's language? Of course, you may have lots of reasons. And if the question is on your mind, you probably have a need or desire to learn a foreign language yourself. The answer to this question are always different from people to people. There will be 6 or 7 different reasons for a range of 10 people learning 5 or 6 different languages.

Economic background, ethnic background, nationality, race, religion, age, or gender will not limit your ability to learn a foreign language. We all have the ability to learn a language to some degree. We might not be a professional author or expert in another language, but we are able to learn a foreign language and communicate with other people in this language.

You don't need to learn many kinds of languages or too much of a foreign language as you can not put all languages and too much language in your head. A language is useful only when it is used. The advantages of learning a foreign language are that it helps to improve your memory, skills, problem solving and your creativity, and also actually improve your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in your native language.

Then, why are you learning languages? Yes, it brings benefits to people, if we can say, it brings benefits to everyone. When you look around your life and work, you will find that there are lots of opportunities to use different languages as people using other languages living around you or working with you. It is not hard to find this when you are just looking for them.

I was told by many people that they are learning a foreign language for business. The arisen business opportunities n the last few decades made it much important for a businessperson to own language skills. Having foreign language skills are a must in order to get ahead in nowadays business world, though English is still spoken by many people. You will surely have more career options when you own a foreign language.

For students, obtaining good career options in future and advantages at present, as mentioned above that learning a language can help to improve their memory, skills, creativity, etc, are both important reasons for them to learn foreign languages.

Learning a language isn't just learning some vocabulary, grammar and sounds, however. The most important factor of learning a language is to give us a better understanding of the language, culture, and a new viewpoint of the world.
