That is another reason that they are so popular, because the t-shirt, even though it's such a simple garment, is a way to express ones identity. Every t-shirt is different and even though you may possibly be wearing the exact same shirt as someone else, it is still an individual thing. That's because even though the shirts appear to be the same, they are not. They wash differently and they almost become an extension of the owner and take on their own individual elements.

That is the way that they stay so individual, even though quite a few people have the same shirt. It also gives individuals that might not have anything in common a common bond. It does not matter where you come from or where you happen to be heading. It does not make a difference how rich or poor, what color you are or how old you are. Everybody loves them and will wear them as long as they don't look too silly. And even if they do look silly, there is a certain segment of the population that will still wear it.
