Sure, there is. However, it may not happen overnight, and you may end up confronted with a truth that you do not want to deal with. There are many great guys out there who may just need a little prodding and they will do the right thing. There are also many guys who just cannot seem to get things figured out and are pretty hard to change. So, if you feel like you are stuck with a man who does not appreciate you... you might have to deal with the fact that you are with someone who just will not change. Hopefully, that is not the case.

1) Respect yourself a little more... you deserve it.

Quite often in life, we get treated the way that we expect to get treated. That's not always the way it happens, but quite often it is, especially in relationships. If you want to be appreciated more by someone else, then you have to work on appreciating yourself. See, the more respect that you have for yourself, the less you are going to be willing to deal with a lack of appreciation. And that kind of attitude is what you need if you are going to turn things around.

2) Demand more appreciation from him.

Being too passive can easily cause a situation where you don't get the appreciation that you deserve and want from a guy. Sometimes, you have to speak up and let out how you feel about things. Some guys are just oblivious to the fact that they may not be showing you enough appreciation and just hearing that you feel that way may be enough to make him start changing.

3) Determine if he is the kind of guy who can show that kind of appreciation that you want.

The ugly truth about relationships is... just because someone is in a relationship... does not mean that they know how to handle it. Truthfully, there are many guys out there who just don't know how to be that kind of supportive guy and will NEVER be that kind of guy. If you are stuck with a guy like that and you are waiting for him to change, you just might have to wait forever for that to happen.
