Clothes through the world are made by workers that are traditionally paid the minimum wage and sometimes less and have to work long hours in poor conditions in order to produce these clothes that many of us take for granted. In developing world countries such as china and Indonesia there are workers mass producing clothes on a huge scale every day. This exploitation is something that regularly comes under fire by major fashion brands. They have been found to under pay staff and offer no additional benefits whilst they make themselves big profits. Ethical clothing guarantees that workers have not only been paid well but also have access to a range of benefits from maternity leave and pensions to healthcare and education.

There is so much goes on behind the production of clothes that people are not even aware of. If you knew that that new coat you were wearing was made by real people who have been exploited would you think twice about where you shopped in the future? People need to be made more aware and should look at shopping in ethical clothing stores.
