WHY I HATE BEING A " NEWBIE!"

Being an internet marketing newbie really sucks especially a 2 year old newbie. My first year was the worst. It was like parachuting into the middle of a jungle and searching for a path that would take me somewhere. I soon fell into the Email marketing pit, and bitten by more than one internet "Guru snake" for a few hundred dollars. It was like they could see me coming. Well, that's what happens if you try and take a short cut.

So my advice to any brand new newbies is do not spend any money until you know what you are doing. This is where the hard part comes in. I soon caught the dreaded IM jungle disease, information overload.

Talk about headaches, confusion and frustration, I came down hard with a feeling of hopelessness.

There was so many subjects, each with so many details. There was affiliate marketing

marketing vendors, drop shipping, banner programs, referral programs, pay per lead, pay per impression, pay per click, AdWords, AdSense, branding, bum marketing, blogs, PayPal, domains, FTP, FFA, AIDA, B2B, B2C, ASP, CGI, on and on. This list only scratches the surface.

So how does a newbie learn what he is doing with out buying into a membership or paying out the nose for mentoring?

I mentioned before the Email marketing pit, and how dangerous it can be, however,

It is not that dangerous so long as you don't spend your bread. In fact I have learned a lot

by just reading through the product pitch. In addition you can get valuable information

by opting in for free reports, but be forewarned, It does not take long to start receiving

thousands of email messages.

Yet, the best way to learn is webinars, so watch those emails for invitations.

Webinars are online training courses, put on by the big dogs of internet marketing.

If there is any big lesson I have learned, it is that it don't come easy, so don't spend your money on "silver bullets" like I did.

Well I have come a long ways since then, I certainly know what it is to be a newbie.

My hope is to help other newbies by sharing my experiences so as to keep them safe from from the pitfalls, and help them to benefit from my successes.
