If article marketing died every time somebody wrote about its death do you think
I would continue to do it? As a matter of fact I've noticed that some of the top Internet marketers continue to do article marketing in one way or another.
Why is that? In my case it helps me make money online!
1. Blog content. Every article I write ends up on my blog before it goes to an article directory.
After I post the blog article I bookmark is using Only Wire. This is a social bookmarking service that gets my article out online where search engines and readers can find it.
Because I have a blog that is several thousand pages deep now, I have numerous categories that I'm posting content to. These help me come up with blog ideas because I want to maintain those categories on a consistent basis.
2. RSS feed. I know people are subscribing to my RSS feed, and receiving updates whenever I make a blog post, because when I post something new my traffic increases for that blog URL specifically.
3. Newsletter subscribers. I have a sign-up form above the fold on my blog as well as my website.
When I make a new blog post it can increase my subscriber base. The same thing is true when I submit the article the article directories because many times I am promoting a splash page.
4. Submit Your Article. I've been using this service for several years now and it's a great way to get your article out into the marketplace.
I am not really worried about search engine optimization and ranking for keywords as much as I used to. Google has kind of killed that part of the business as far as article marketing goes. However, I do want my article into as many directories as possible and this is a fast way to reach them with the click of one button.
5. Ezine publishers. Every article that shows up in an article directory has the potential to end up in somebody's online newsletter.
The great thing about this is your resource box is going to be at the bottom of that article. This is a good way to brand yourself as well as drive traffic to your website.
6. Traffic leads to money. Article marketing is still a good way to get traffic to your website which helps all of us make money.
7. I enjoy it. I'm actually lucky in that I enjoy writing and can crank out content fairly quickly.

These are a handful of reasons why I continue to use article marketing and suggest you do as well if you want to get more website traffic and make more money.
