Why I enjoy My Morning Walk

After a brief hiatus and lazy break, I have drawn myself out of my bed and am to doing things i enjoyed most like a school going kid - walking.

While the first day I felt pain, I'm now enjoying my walking routine and look forward tothe early morning so thatI can start my day refreshed and active. In factI am forced to draw myself from walking routine and return home to ensure thatI will start for my office.

I daresay that my early morning walk provides me with enough energy during the dayand that i never feel tired. Throughout the days I didn'tgo out for my walk, I felt tired and also at times have slept inside my desk. However, now I don't feel any tiredness whatsoever.

What i enjoy most with my morning sojourn is I willspend time withNature - in her own full glow. I enjoythe rising sun and marvel at the cloud color changing with sunrise. Also the birds losing sight of their nest for their daily food and chirping beautifully as theygo aboutyour day, the colourfrom the sea changing and reflecting the sunlight falling on it - you have toappreciate it. Pity those who havemissed out on enjoying Nature in all its splendor and glory.

Brings me to what W.H. Davies wrote in his Leisure:

"What is this life if, full of care,

We now haveno timeto stand and stare.

Virtually no timeto faceunderneath the boughs

And stare so long as sheep or cows.

No timeto determine, when woods we pass,

Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No timeto see, in broad daylight,

Streams full of stars, like skies through the night.

No timeto turn at Beauty's glance,

And watch her feet, how they can dance.

Virtually no timeto hold back till her mouth can

Enrich that smile her eyes began.

An undesirable life this is if, full of care,

We now haveno timeto stand and stare."

Also the very first day I walked with my shoes on and felt the pain. Subsequently, I left my footwear behind and choose my walk. The feet are thrilled with the experience of going bare.

Remembered reading that some African tribes do not have any disease of the feet because they walk barefoot. I'mexperiencing the same and boy, it's well worth the fun. And above all there's the additionalmany benefits from walking.

One suggestion that I would liketo provideis - try avoiding your evening walks. Surprised! The power generated in the walk keeps me running throughout the dayso when I walked several times late at night, I took a long timeto rest.

So whathave you beenwaiting for! Set your noisy alarmsjust to walkand relish the glory of mother nature.
