The UK general election is less than two weeks away and at the moment there doesn't

appear to be one particular party that has a majority over any of the others. It is really starting to look like we could be heading towards a hung parliament and then maybe if a coalition cannot be formed, a second ballot.

Housing prices have started to level off after the initial slump that they experienced in the early stages of the credit crisis. One area of the country where business has been booming recently has been in the south east of England and particularly one county. For some reason property for sale in Kent has continued to be snapped up despite the credit crisis and global world recession, but when you look beneath the surface there are several reason why.

A large proportion of property for sale in Kent gets snapped up by London business men and women, who want to have somewhere outside of the city where they can relax either after work or at the weekends. Because London prices are always slightly more expensive than those of the surrounding area, the London workers have been able to snap up the available property for sale in Kent while the housing market has been at its lowest for the best part of ten years.

Another reason why property for sale in Kent has been snapped up is because of the counties excellent transport links. The Eurostar train leaves from Folkestone and there are a number of ferry's that leave from the port of Dover going over to Calais. Alternatively if you want to fly out of the country then there are a number of major airports located close by in the nation's capital that will provide you with links to all over the world.

Property for sale in Kent has so many positive aspect going in its favour, it is no surprise that the house price crash hasn't seen a slump in house sales within the area.
