Why is the calling to the office of prophet like a diamond

? Well lets look at a diamond first, to make a diamond it takes great pressure and heat.

The diamonds beginning is just a lump of coal only, black and dirty, which only use is to be thrown on the fire, sounds like many people who don't follow gods ways, they too are unfit for service and are destined for the fires of hell.

The lump of coal that has not been dug out of the ground, this is the same as the people of god who are buried in his word, and sometimes in obscurity and dark caves of the soul.

The lump of coal is then crushed under great pressure and intense heat before it becomes a diamond.

This is what god typically does to the prophets, he crushes them under great fiery trials and tribulations to crush us and break our spirits, and to humble us before him. He does this because he can only really use the broken hearted/spirited and humble before him, its when you have lost everything except god, it is then that you realise that god is all you have left, and then you realize that god is all you needed anyway.

The diamond is then dug out of the ground as a rough diamond then it is cut and polished until it shines and sparkles with light. The diamond is the hardest substance on earth. Pure and flawless.

So god after the trials and tribulations and years of waiting on him, finally takes us out of the stuff we were in, and starts to get us to do a few prophesies, then he has to cut his words into our hearts and minds, so we sparkle and shine for him, we like the diamonds are the hardest Christians to defeat, the devil trys all sorts to damage our faith and love in our god, but like the diamond we are resolute in our walk.

Like the diamond which has many colors shining through it, we too allow god to shine his light through us, to give out many colorful words which touch peoples lives.
