Why It's Not As Easy As You Think To Make An Executive Income From Home

A lot of people come online these days looking for ways to make an executive income from home

. Some of them are driven by the desire to be at home with their families. Others just want to escape from the corporate rat race once and for all. Still others have big dreams that their current salaries won't accommodate.

The list of ways to accomplish this is ever-growing. For instance, internet affiliate marketing involves promoting other people's products on a website or through email. CPA networks pay marketers to get people to opt in to receive special offers. Then there is internet network marketing, a great way to leverage time by building teams of people who work together to make money.

So if there are so many different ways to make money online, why does it seem so difficult to choose the right opportunity? Don't we all know someone who is making a full time income from home? They didn't have to reinvent the wheel, did they?

Don't get me wrong--having your own products to sell is the ultimate goal. It is just that for the person getting started, it is easier to find a system that works first. Then you can concentrate on building your reputation in the marketplace along with a brand of your very own.

Another reason you may be hesitating is due to a lack of trust. I mean, it is difficult to believe some of these stories that land in your email inbox, isn't it? Everyone is always trying to sell you something. Even if you do break down and buy something, it almost never ends up to be exactly what you expected.

The thing is, most people who are making money online today, and lots of it, had to go through an enormous learning curve to get there. Sure, they have 5 and 6 figure paydays--which is what we usually hear about--but not without an enormous level of personal sacrifice to get them into a position to do that. Normally, they are setting the stage for years. Why else do you think so many people fail? It is because they give up before they ever even had a chance at the big money.

Making money online can seem difficult at first. It really can. But with a change in mindset--a paradigm shift if you will--it begins to seem like child's play. The sooner you start, the sooner you will be thinking, and making money, like the rest of us.

The two best ways to accomplish this are to read the right kinds of books and to find a mentor. Some great titles to get you started are Think and Grow Rich and the Magic of Thinking Big. Even if you have already read these, you will want to read them again. And again.

I think that if more people knew what to expect going in to the industry, there would be less failure. That is my aim in writing this article. Hopefully you found some nuggets to keep you going. Never give up. Never surrender.
