Little did he know that when Paul Mitchell originally enrolled in the Morris School

of Hair Dressing in the West End of London that he would go on to become one of the most iconic names in the hairstyling industry. From simple beginnings, Paul used his success in domestic and international hair dressing competitions to catapult him toward success.

By the age of 13 Mitchell was in charge of Vidal Sassoon's entry into the New York market, creating a lasting impression among clients and industry chiefs alike. He would subsequently meet up with the man who would be his long-term partner, John Paul DeJoria in the '70s.

With an idea in mind the pair came together with just $700 to launch Paul Mitchell hair products, with instant success. It's unfortunate that Paul would succumb to a battle with pancreatic cancer at a relatively early age, passing away at 53 and leaving his legacy behind him.
