That doesn't mean that you should forgo them altogether. It just means that you need to find some entertainment that makes more sense to do more often. Fortunately, there's satellite TV. You probably won't find a more comprehensive and inexpensive entertainment option anywhere else.

Before fully understanding why satellite TV is so good, you have to take a look at some of your other options first. For example, most people enjoy going to the movies from time to time because it allows them to see the latest Hollywood blockbusters with their friends. You can't pause the movie to take a bathroom or snack break and you can't talk during it because your neighbors would get mad. You just have to stay in your seat and keep your mouth shut. Second of all, it can actually end up being quite an expensive affair. That's because movie ticket prices have skyrocketed over the last few years. Now you can expect to pay around $10 for just 2 hours of entertainment, and if you want to have popcorn, a hotdog and a soda you can expect to double that figure. If you have to pay for your family, then you'll have to multiply that figure even more. Finally, if you should happen to arrive late at the theater, you may have trouble finding a good seat. You might have to work your way to the middle of a row and potentially trip over someone's legs in the process. You could also end up with a seat in the way front of the theater and end up going home with a sore neck.

As another example, many people enjoy a night out on the town with friends in Missouri. This is something that can be fun once in a while but it can also be prohibitively expensive if done everyday. Your night could consist of dinner, drinking and then dancing. You can expect to pay at least $10 for a good dinner, another $20 for a few rounds of beer, and then another $30 for the entrance fee and drinks at a local dance club or live music venue. Overall you're looking at spending upwards of $60 for one night's worth of entertainment.

If you want to save money and still have fun with friends, you can opt to watch satellite TV at home. You'll get access to more entertaining shows than you'll probably know what to do with. You'll get dozens of movie channels featuring some of the latest releases, most likely broadcast in high definition. You'll also get sports channels, news programming, game shows, foreign language programming, educational programming, nature shows, local broadcasts, and a whole lot more. Best of all, it's a whole lot cheaper than the previously mentioned items. In fact, one night out doing the previously mentioned activities would pay for a whole month's worth of entertainment with satellite TV.
