Whether you love it or hate it, golf is a sport that is essential to many people. Some see this sport as a profession, while others consider this as a hobby. Regardless of whether you want to be the next Tiger Woods or just be an ordinary person out to hit the course without a care in the world, you would definitely want to know a thing or two about golf. There are many reasons why you should play. Perhaps you would like to consider these few reasons as to why you should want to play.

It's a great way to build a relationship.

There is probably a high chance that your boss is a fan of golf. For some reason they are. A great way to get to know your boss is to hang out with him during his free time. You know, build up a friendly relationship outside the office. While playing golf, you would have the opportunity to get to know first hand on who your boss really is. You would get to speak to him, man to man. Not everything you do has to be work-related, especially when you're out tearing up the course. Having connections way up in the ladder is definitely a good thing to have. And besides that, you would definitely gain a new friend and a new golfing buddy. If you're out on a trip for work, say you're trying to woo a head of a certain company to go for your services and products, discussing things out of the conference room is a welcome change for some people. Getting to know your clients better would give you an advantage that would make the difference of it being a good day or a bad one. On the other hand, your clients would also get to know you a lot better. This in turn will cause them to be more loyal to you in the future. Everybody likes to work with people they know, people that they could trust and depend on.

It's a wonderful sport to follow and to practice.

Contrary to what other people believe, golf is most definitely an enjoyable sport that can be both exciting and refreshing. It's a sport that doesn't require you to have an amazing leaping ability or incredible speed. Nor does it require you to have a physique that would make you buff or in perfect physical condition. Everybody can play this sport. Golf doesn't choose whether you're too young, too short, or too stout to play. This sport has been around for many years now and with good reason too. Have you seen the movie Happy Gilmore already? It's a great example of how one could learn to love this sport. Golf isn't just for the rich. It's a sport that everybody could play. Remember that golf is a gentleman's game, not a millionaire's game.
