While the older mobile manufacturers have released a flurry of cheap models, there are several small players that are trying to get a foothold in the market with their handsets, even offering them at lesser prices than the models offered by the major players in the mobile market. However, there are some glaring inconsistencies in these phones that any veteran buyer would notice and steer away from these products. Here are the top three.

No Warranty:

The irony of the situation is that while the salesman will offer you these cell phones as having a better quality and more features than your favorite mobile phone brand, they will not stand by their word and offer you a warranty - even a dealer's warranty. Many image sharing websites are chock full of images from these shops that show boards like 'Some Mobiles Warranty Only One Day'. Surely your hard earned money is worth more time.

No IMEI:

Remember the news stories that many mobile phones were about to be banned because they did not have an IMEI number? Well, they were true and the action was taken because without an IMEI number, and basically the phones raised some security concerns. Of course, the mobile manufacturers scrambled to get everything in order and the ban was uplifted. However, one never knows what other issues are remaining to be unveiled in these mobiles, and its best to stay away from these mobile phones.
