Why Super Mario Games Are So Famous

For the past few years, computer and video gaming systems have become the most preferred form of entertainment by kids

. With todays modern advancements, everything becomes digital. From the medium used in communication to the various forms of recreations, there is just a wide range of interactive and computer games you can choose from. However, going back to the 80s, perhaps the worlds most popular game character is Mario on the Super Mario games.

Super Mario Bros. came to birth in 1985. It is actually a follow-up installment after the huge success of Mario Bros. on 1983. Thanks to the brilliant talent of this Japanese computer designer Shigeru Miyamoto who is the man behind the creation of the world hit Mario series developed by Nintendo Entertainment Company. Originally, Marios character was made to appear on platform games. After an overwhelming positive response from the public, the famous stout plumber became a trademark and was used in almost all of Nintendos gaming consoles.

The gameplay is an important element in order to win the discerning tastes of gaming enthusiasts. It should not be boring but instead, offers exciting features and lots of involvement by the player. This may be the reason why Super Mario games have managed to maintain its title as the best-selling video games of all time.

In a multiple player mode, the first player will take the lead role of Mario and the second one will take Luigis character. The main goal is to free Princess Toadstool from the hands of the Antagonist Bowser. Before being able to do that, the hero must surpass obstacles along the way and fight Bowsers minions. The player must move from left going to the right side as seen on the monitor to reach the flag pole in order to proceed to the next phase. There are several coins for Mario to collect and some bricks over his head that he needs to hit in order to gain additional coins or some extraordinary items. Super Mushroom enables the main character to double up his size while obtaining a Fire Flower can change his outfit and be able to shoot the enemies using fire balls. Green and Orange mushrooms add extra lives to Mario.

Truly, the signature concept of Super Mario games simply defines an all-time favorite in the world of gaming consoles. Recent digital games were launched designed various genres and forms. But nothing can still beat the worlds most popular game ever created.
