Whether you prefer beaches or countryside landscapes, hustle and bustle or peace and quiet, or a mix of everything, you will be happy with a holiday in Tunisia. Of the millions that visit there every year, few go away disappointed with what they have experienced. Tunisia has the Mediterranean Sea on the north and east sides of the country, and those are the most popular areas for beach lovers. Besides a beachfront holiday though, Tunisia holidays offer a variety of things to do. This includes visiting ancient ruins and some of the picturesque and interesting villages throughout Tunisia. The Sousse Medina, the Tunis Medina, the Le Bardo-Bardo National Museum and the Ribat of Monastir are just some of the many popular tourist attractions. The northern part of Tunisia has the Mediterranean influence, while the inner villages have a more ancient cultural diversity. Roman ruins and Turkish mosques are as common as some of the cathedrals and museums that offer a diverse glimpse of Tunisia over the centuries. There are many special tours to choose from that cater for allsorts of tastes and preferences. From hiking in the mountains to sailing to uninhabited islands to visiting religious sites, there will always be something to interest you should you fancy a day away from the beach. You can dine on lamb skewers from a Berber oven or sushi from the Mediterranean, but there are a variety of cuisines to try. Couscous is a national dish made from semolina grain and boiled in fish or meat juices, so be sure and try it while in Tunisia. The climate is varied, but if you want the best climate, spring and autumn offer the most temperate climates, while the months of July and August can become unbearably hot. Winter offers sunny climates compared to some other countries, but it depends on what part of Tunisia you visit.About the Author:
