Why You Should Consider Fort Lauderdale Cfi Flight Training

Certified Flight Instructor training authorizes you to provide the training and endorsements

required for student pilots, private pilots, and commercial pilots. If you earn the CFII (Certified Flight Instrument Instructor) rating, you can provide the training necessary for others to earn their instrument rating. Certified Flight Instructors who want to train others for a flight instructor certificate must hold their own flight instructor certificate for at least 24 months and give at least 200 hours of instruction. Once you earn your CFI certificate you could be on your way to an exciting and rewarding career in aviation training.

Eligibility for Fort Lauderdale CFI Training

In the United States, if you want to pursue your CFI certificate, you must have at least a Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot certificate. If you want to become an instructor you will need to hold an instrument rating in the category of aircraft in which you want to become an instructor. To earn flight instructor certification, you will have to pass a Fundamentals of Instruction exam and a knowledge test for the specific aircraft category in which you want to teach. You will also be required to pass a practical test. To begin training, you must be at least 18 years old.

What to Expect from Fort Lauderdale CFI Training

Programs may vary slightly, but in general, your Fort Lauderdale CFI instruction will include five hours of dual flight instruction in a Warrior aircraft, five hours of dual flight instruction in a FRASCA or PCATD simulator, 15 hours of flight briefings and ground training, and four hours of check ride preparation. You must pass a check ride as well as a knowledge test. To qualify, you'll need an FAA Flight Instructor Airplane Certificate and at least an FAA Third Class Medical certificate.

Help Others Earn their Instrument Ratings

When you earn your CFII certificate, you will be able to train other pilots who are pursuing their instrument rating. An instrument rating allows pilots to fly in low visibility conditions like heavy haze, low clouds, and rain by following instrument flight rules (IFR). In the United States, all pilots who want to fly above 18,000 feet have to have an instrument rating. With your CFII, you will need to complete a flight test, written exam, and oral exam in order to be able to instruct others in getting their instrument rating.

Take Your Passion for Aviation to the Next Level

Pursuing Fort Lauderdale CFI flight training opens up a whole world of possibilities. Being a Certified Flight Instructor or a Certified Flight Instrument Instructor not only lets you enjoy aviation more, but it lets you pass along your passion for flying to others who want to earn their private pilot's license or instrument rating. If you find your love for aviation increasing with every hour spent in flight, maybe it's time to consider working toward your CFI or CFII certification. Few things are as satisfying as seeing an aspiring aviator discover their own love for the world of aviation.
