Why Your Ex Boyfriend Might Be Afraid To Reconcile

You won't have an easy time trying to get a man to admit that he is afraid of something

, especially when it concerns matters of the heart. He's probably not going to tell you if the reason why he does not want to get back together is due to a fear that he has. To save his pride, he's much more likely to make up some other reason, even if it is not the truth. That does not mean that fear is not the reason why he does not want to reconcile. In fact, many times it is the reason why a guy won't give an ex girlfriend a second chance.

The fears are not always the same. And sometimes they are not even rational. You still need to know if this is a possibility if you want to get back together with him and he seems to be hesitant about doing that.

These are a couple of the reasons why he may be fearful of getting back together with you:

1) He's afraid of what his friends might say.

If his friends have given him the thumbs up for the relationship ending, then he may not want to lose face in front of them by having to tell them that he is going back to you. Men can be just as easily swayed by their friend's opinions as women can. Usually when a guy breaks up with a woman, he'll go and get feedback from his friends. If they are happy about the relationship ending for whatever reasons that they may have, then for him to go back and say that he is getting back with you, that is going to cause him to lose some of their respect.

2) You hurt him in some way and he is afraid that it will happen yet again.

It does not really matter what it is that you did to hurt him. It could be something major and it could be something minor. As long as he feels hurt by you, then it may make him think long and hard about a possible reconciliation and his answer may be that he does not want to risk getting hurt one more time. Guys can be sensitive, even though they may try and act like they are not. This may be the reason why he is having a hard time dealing with the possibility of a reconciliation.
