Why should all people be employed?
Why should all people be employed?
Why should all people be employed?
Looking back over our history, since the beginning of human race, the first hominids have improved their ways of getting food from hunting and gathering fruits, in the beginnings, to plants cultivation and livestock raising, for thousands of years, finally achieving the modern way of agriculture that we have today. Besides food production (agriculture), over time, people have improved mainly their ways of building houses, protecting against the cold weather (through better clothing) and their weapons used to hunt or to defend against their enemies, so that all these kinds of activities, distributed in time to more and more specialized individuals (division of labor), have generated what we generally call today, "work".
Therefore, anyone should work (be employed), first of all, because any of us has the duty to do something useful for the community/country within which we live, in exchange to the advantages we get from our civilized society, which means not having to live (to survive) isolated somewhere into the wild nature anymore, like our ancestors, but taking advantages of the thousands of years of life in common evolution instead (in fewer words, instead of getting our food and resources, mainly by hunting and gathering like in the past, now we get these by doing our daily work).
It is well known, regarding the benefits in our present times, that not only in USA but also in any other country, a lower unemployment rate generates a stronger economy, with fewer not working people who need to be sustained by the other ones who work, and at the same time, having all employed (doing something useful for community/mankind) means higher quality of life for everybody.
In this view of obtaining less unemployment, is coming also the righteous Allemployed.com's goal, to help all job seekers find faster and free an appropriate position, by offering free job postings to any employer in the United States.
As a conclusion, let us remember that most USA presidents made economic growth, jobs creation, educational improvement and the more appropriate distribution of resources among people high priorities, to have all Americans employed, motivated and happy to do their jobs, according with the following quotations:
"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." Franklin D. Roosevelt
"Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration." Abraham Lincoln
"Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil, and you're a thousand miles from the corn field." Dwight D. Eisenhower
"This isn't going to be a good country for any of us to live in until it's a good country for all of us to live in." Richard Nixon
"It's true, hard work never killed anybody." Ronald Reagan
"The only resource that's really rooted in a nation--and the ultimate source of all its wealth--is its people" Bill Clinton
"To build a twenty-first-century economy, America must revive a nineteenth-century habit--investing in the common, national economic resources that enable every person and every firm to create wealth and value" Bill Clinton
"We know what it takes to compete for the jobs and industries of our time. We need to out-innovate, out-educate, and out-build the rest of the world." Barack Obama
