Car camera records are designed to record all the video from your car and some can be plugged directly into your car's lighter and mounted right on your dashboard. These lightweight and efficient cameras produce high quality images and recordings, and can protect you from unfair insurance claims.

Car cameras are more than just another car accessory or convenience - although, how great would it have been to have one of these when you had to teach your kids to drive? Car cameras are also being seen as an important automobile safety device.

If you are accused of running a red light, or now with the new law change, an orange light, you have dated and timed proof to prove your innocence. The camera also records driving speeds so that you can have proof of the speed you were travelling. If you are in a contact accident the movement triggers the camera to record a new file on the Micro SD card, marking it as sensor recording. This file is not overwritten like normal files, but only when the card is reformatted on your computer. If a child or animal steps straight out in front of you without warning, you would want to be able to prove you weren't negligent, wouldn't you?

Whatever the incident it could prove very costly with your insurance company, the police or both. The cost of protection would be worth it when you consider months of law cases or the stress of being wrongly accused.

Car cameras are one of the best car accessory purchases that you can make. They are very beneficial for being able to drive more safely and reduce reverse driving accidents and property damage. Besides the safety aspect, driving in reverse is more difficult than going forwards, and these are helpful in doing so. Yes, there is an additional cost involved when including these as a new car option, or purchasing in the aftermarket. But when safety, convenience, and even a reduction in insurance rates are considered, car cameras are very affordable, if not ultimately a cost savings, and a great investment to make in your car.
