If your wife said it's over and she wants a divorce, is it possible to restart your marriage and get your wife back? Maybe you are looking at the course of your relationship and thinking that something can be saved, but your wife doesn't want to hear it. Or maybe your wife actually left you but you still want to save your marriage and get your wife back. Whatever the reason, you want to stay married and get your wife to love you again. What can you do if your wife doesn't want to work on the marriage?

1. If your wife said it's over but you want to get her back, realize that it really does take two to tango. This means that it only takes one of you to change the pattern of your relationship. If you choose to stop arguing with your wife and have a better marriage, then how you act will change how your wife acts towards you. If you vow to be open, honest, and stop arguing and bickering, your wife will have no other choice but to respond the same way. How does that work? If your wife starts picking a fight, or gets an attitude when you try to talk to her, walk away from the situation. Tell her that you are tired of fighting and love her too much to continue the pattern. Then come back later when she has cooled off. Try to keep all of your conversations honest and drama-free.

2. Look at your wife's saying it's over as a way to restart your marriage. Don't look at this time in your marriage as a failure. Look at it as a clean slate that once the two of you decide to stick together will actually strengthen you as a couple. If you really want to get your wife back, then look at this time as something you can learn from. See your wife and yourself through new eyes. When you are with someone for a long time, it is easy to look at them as how you've always known them. But the two of you have changed as people, so it's time to acknowledge that and get to know one another again. Fall in love with who your wife is now and realize that your marriage can be better than ever!

3. Once you've decided to change your marriage and get your wife back, start looking for other areas of your life that can be cleaned up as well. If you and your wife are in a rut, chances are the state of your home and family life is in a rut as well. Use this time as a time of new beginnings and make your life how you always wanted it to be! Not only will you be happier but once you get your wife back she will be happier as well.
