I know, it is a crazy concept, but most people don't realize that they can style their wigs in a variety of ways and with the right washing afterward, can find that it'll bounce back to its original shape when they want to go back to that look. Styling wigs can be great fun and a lot easier because you get to work on the look on a wig stand, instead of trying to do it when it is already on your head. You get full control, a better view of what you are doing, and usually better results.

With that, think about what you want to do with your wig. If you have short wigs that are usually a bob, why not try something different? With the right product, like wax and hair spray, you can create a messier short look that will be trendy and stand out. It gives that planned mess look, so it's more stylish than looking like you just got out of bed. Hair wax is great because you can use very little to create an entire look for the day that will last until you wash your wig. Apply a little and twist as you run it through the layers of the wig and it'll create a textured, messy look.

If you have longer wigs, there's a lot you can do. You have up dos and down dos for longer lengths. You don't have to just wear everything down in the same way, you can use bows, bobby pins and hair bands to change the style and give a little change to the usual everyday look of your wig.

With updos, you have a choice of braiding, ponytails, buns, and even half up and half down that will get the hair off of your face but still have full coverage on the back of your neck. With wigs, you can practice more intricate braiding or a more difficult bun and really get something complex going. People will wonder how you put together such a great hairstyle but since they won't know it is a wig, you can let them think you did it all with nothing but a mirror.

With a bit of practice and a new out look on your real hair wigs, you can have a new style to spruce things up. Don't get stuck in a hair rut, try a few new things before your next outing.
