Will England Win The World Cup?

The prestigious football sport is held every four years

. Crowds would gather at cafes, friends and families would sit in front of the television for a month to watch the World Cup. This year, the focus is on England, country of some of the best football players. England had once won the World Cup in 1966, would it be able to do so this year?

According to an article compiled at Tinkrbox, a social website/video bookmarking site, Patrick Barclay from The Times, England will win World Cup because they have a manager who understands how to produce teamwork and the weather in South Africa is cooler than England at the same time of year, suiting the high-tempo game that comes naturally to English players. In the same article, Ian Hawkey from The Sunday Times stated that they may reach the semis, but they look inferior to Spain and Brazil, both of whom pass the ball better and have better goalkeepers.

In another website from Tinkrbox, a survey was conducted to see what the Bloggers think. If the blogosphere is any indication, England, by far is the World Cup favorite with 27.5% of the total conversations, followed by Brazil. Interestingly, although England attracted the most conversations, it has also garnered the most negative conversations. This could also mean, a lot of bloggers do not actually like England.
