Will Shutters Suit The Style Of My Home?

Since the start of my shutter career, I have installed shutters in almost every style

of house including traditional town houses, beautiful new builds and rural cottages. The one thing I have to say is that looking back at all these installations; I have never seen shutters look out of place.

So why then you ask, do shutters seem to blend in with any surroundings? Well, the main reason is the fact that shutters can be tailored to suit there surroundings, to suit the time or decor in which your home is themed.

For example: if you are thinking of installing shutters into a modern day house, clients tend to choose plain styles with larger louvers without a traditional tilt rod, choosing a white or a daring colour to brighten things up. This style is very simplistic and contemporary and looks fantastic.

However, if your home is more suited to a traditional theme then you have some great options too. Rather than larger more simplistic louvers, clients tend to choose smaller, more detailed louvers with a traditional rod in the centre of the panel. Maybe a wood stain finish with historic beaded styles would be more suited to your taste?

We have even installed shutters abroad in the south of France. Obviously, the French interior decor is slightly different to our own, however our clients still found a style of shutter that was perfectly suited to their taste.

Shutters are versatile and built to last.

Shutters have seen a dramatic increase in popularity not only in the U.K. but worldwide. I feel the reason for shutters seeing such a rise in the recent years is because of how versatile they are. No other window dressing offers as many options as shutters do.

I feel the range we have also compliments the versatility of shutters. Our range includes alternative materials, small to large louvers, solid panel shutters, hidden tilt rods, stylish frames and custom colour matching.

Making sure we have a lot of and options within our range means that clients get to choose a style that suits.

I also believe that if well maintained, shutters should only ever need to be installed once. Our range of woods are tried and tested. They stand out to us as being the best woods to manufacture shutters from, as they all have three key elements. These include minimum warping properties, minimum wood defects and beautiful wood grains and finishes.
