The biggest new feature in Cataclysm isn't so much a "new" feature as it is a revamped one. The Cataclysm has altered the geography of many areas of Azeroth. For example, the Thousand Needles mountain range is now flooded, turning the mountains into a chain of islands. The barren land of Desolace has become a lush jungle.

There are many more changes to the world, and they aren't just changes to geography, but changes to the gameplay.
