World of Warcraft is an online game that millions of people all over the world play. There are so many things to do on this game, it can be hard to keep track of it all. If you are new to this game, or even a veteran to WoW, leveling up can be rough. There are so many quests to do and your quest log is more often than not pretty vague.

Anyone that plays the game knows how frustrating it is to run around forever looking for a certain mob for a quest when you don't know exactly where to go. I can't tell you how many hours total I have spent wondering around aimlessly.

After awhile, I looked into questing addons for the game. At first it became easier to quest. This was not always the case however, because at times the information was incorrect. There are pros and cons to getting a quest helping add-on for WoW. I'll list just a few of both so that you can can judge for yourself.

For starters, let's begin with pros. Having an add-on can make completing a quest easier. They help you by telling you where to go, what you need to get while there, and also where to return to turn the quest in. What little bit of information that they give you will speed things up considerably as you will get a bit more info than what the interface quest guide will. When you combine them with an addon like Tom Tom it will speed things up a bit more.

Now for the cons. The biggest con in my opinion is that these add-on helpers information are based on random people. This can sometimes end up being more difficult than not having a helper. Often times wrong information has been given which leaves you running around looking in wrong places, or for wrong things. This can be even more frustrating than not knowing where to go in the first place. This is even more true for the addons that use an online database to help out. Many addons like this will just lead to more headaches than they are worth.

What I really want in a quest addon is a solid step by step approach to really speed things up. A solid guide that tells me to log this quest now, log this one now, head over and kill this guy and pick up the flowers on the ground. One that pretty much holds my hand and tells me what to do, and when.

Unfortunatly there is a lack of free addons that do these things, but there is hope. There are a few paid guides that do these very things and often come with added bonuses to help out further. It is a simple decision to me, though you may feel differently. One of these guides that has helped me alot since I began playing is called Zygor guide.
