When trying on these types of dresses, you should take everything into consideration. When are you going, season, holiday, general party, your body type, how tall or short you are, how small or large you are and so on. Remember, not every dress looks good on every body. What looks good on you may not look good on someone else. And what you like, not everyone else likes.

You should also consider your personal style when deciding on a dress. Do you like soft subtle tones or the more bold animal prints? Do you want to cover your shoulders or make a statement with a one shoulder look? What you ultimately purchase, should be your statement.
