In addition to the dependability a Glock is also one of the more simple handguns to operate. There are no mystifying safeties, mag disconnect or anything else to befuddle the shooter. Rack a bullet in and pull the trigger and it will shoot.

The Glock 19 is chambered in 9mm; this is comparatively affordable ammo to buy so you can do loads of practicing with it. There is not much recoil in this weaponand the 9mm has a lot of stopping power. With a 15 bullet magazine there should not be a need to reload but if you do it is very straight-forward and fast.

Malfunctions when shooting a Glock are extremely rare but if you have one, a quick tap and rack will normally clear a jam. With a little practise you can learn to do this very very rapidly.

The lack of a ordinary safety may be a turn off to some females or even guys but you need to remember that the safety of any gun is between your ears. Safe handling and following the 4 rules of firearm safety make the need for a safety non-existent.

It is also a fairly simple gun to conceal. There are hundreds if not thousands of holster variations available for this weapon.

There are many options and a multitude of makers make excellent choices for the ladies. The most important thing for a woman purchasing a weapon to do is go to a gun store and put her hands on a lot of pistols and if able to, fire each firearm.Find the one that fits your hand the best and that you shoot the most accurately. Most importantly of all make sure it something you will carry every day.
