Wonderful Adventures In The Tropical North Queensland

Lots of people do know about the main attractions in the Tropical North Queensland

, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. So you may be searching for some other attractions and experiences there and there are many to find.

Start with some of the fabulous islands that lie right off the coast. Some of the most popular tourist spots lie on these islands with Mission Beach on Dunk Island being one of the best. Only about 40 minutes from Cairns you will find that this island offers incredible views of the mainland. Other popular islands include Green and Fitzroy Island both which are conveniently located and make a wonderful way to spend a day while staying in the Tropical North Queensland region.

The areas of Cairns, Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation offer the most diversity of accommodations and prices, from the very nice resorts to the ones that are a clean place for only a small amount of money. It's possible to locate some accommodations right on Mission Beach if you want to spend a couple of nights there.

Nature abounds in this region and you will surely want to check out some of the natural attractions such as the Flecker Botanic Gardens, the Skyrail Forest Cableway, and the Kurunda Scenic Railway each of which will provide you with the opportunity to take in the natural surroundings without having to hike through the rainforest. The James Cook Historical Museum offers a unique look at the history of this region and is a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon learning about this incredible region.

All travels to Australia's Tropical North Queensland have to include a visit to both the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest, they have much to offer and are listed with the World Heritage organization. Here in this region the difficulty will be figuring out what to do first as there are so many fantastic attractions to see and experience.
