Garden furniture consists of some chairs, a table, and an umbrella, also known as parasol which is used to cover the space to protect people from harmful sun rays.

Wooden Garden Furniture is usually made of Teakwood, which has a distinct feature apart from a distinct and elegant look. It contains a material called Silica, which is resistant to fire, water effects like rotting, warping and even swelling, it is also an antidote to harmful chemicals, wood worms and fungus. It has a natural element which makes teakwood always look like new. This is durable and has a life span of many years. Earlier, furniture was made of teakwood, obtained from the trees grown in tropical forests. That time wood was easily available because of lots of green forests but these days, since the forests which grow trees with top quality wood are diminishing, the wood price is increasing day by day and due to strict laws against cutting of trees, it has become even more price worthy. There are other forms of wood such as plywood which is used these days in making of all kinds of furniture.

Wooden Garden Furniture is more expensive when compared to other widely used materials and it needs a periodical maintenance for a long time. These days, many people prefer furniture which made of other kinds of materials like plastic, wicker, fiber and resin because of the scarcity of good quality wood. These materials are cost effective in terms of price and maintenance cost and they are light weight hence easy to move from one place to another. Furniture made from resin is also gaining popularity because resin consists of environment friendly and recycled plastic. Resin is resembled which makes it appear like wicker or wood.
