This is out of the usual scope for me, as I'm usually more interested in motivational and children's products. That being said, I still feel I have a right to review this product as a buyer and a wife of a DIY husband whose DIY father lives with us.

John Metz is the author of theWoodworking4Home ebook and he totes over 20 years of woodworking experience as well as spending the last six years creating these special detailed plans for all kinds of projects. Once you see these beautifully laid out diagrams and instructions, you'll also come to believe his is a master of patience and perfection.

There are plainly thousands of plans, I have about 20 on the list of stuff my husband is supposed to make for me before Christmas. Some I've forbidden him to even try since the clear instructions make it easy enough for me to follow, though I do need help using some tools for the first time.

Some examples of projects include bird feeders, benches, cabinets (even cabins!), computer desks, fences, tables, wishing wells, fireplaces, dressers, cradles, media centers, mailboxes, ottomans, literally just thousands.

We've put together a new computer desk, breadbox, pot belly pig house, door frame, swinging bench and a chinchilla house for my sister (adapted from the rabbit house plan.)

As a woman I find the best part is that the projects are aimed at being completed as quickly and cheaply as possible, without sacrificing quality or style. Finding projects is easy as it's a simple search, and then you open the PDF file.

Women, if your man is of the DIY breed, (or maybe you are) then I highly recommend getting them this as a gift.
