This tower was built in a land acquired by F.W Woolworth on the 11th of March in 1910 from an Estate known as Trenor Luther Park for a price of two million dollars. The Woolworth building was under the ownership of Woolworth Company for about 865 year until when the Venator Group which was formerly known as Woolworth group sold it over to Witkoff Group for an amount of 155 million dollars.
