Work From Home Network Marketing Advantages and Disadvantages

Running a work from home business using network marketing as a vehicle to generate an income has advantages and disadvantages.

The advantages are, you save money and time by not having to travel to and from work and not having to rent or buy a business premises and the extra costs that come with them.

Work out monthly how much it costs you to travel to and from work and if you run a vehicle the extra costs involved, then break that down over 12 months and add that to your fuel bill.

Reclaim your family time from being a weekend parent because usually you would be going to work when the children get up and then they are in bed on your return. Amongst other things you can do as well in your spare time.

The tax benefits are fantastic as you can claim back part of your rent or mortgage, heating, lighting telephone and broadband. The computer/laptop you use along with the printer and consumables. You could even go as far as having your home altered to improve your working conditions.

Flexible hours as you can pick and choose when you work especially if you have children in school or for pre-school children you could work in the evening. Otherwise you can pick and choose when you want to, some people are early starters and others are night owls. Most important though to still set out a schedule that you can work around and whether you are going to be generating an extra income or a full time income. As long as you are prepared to work you methodically you make a success of it, whatever your situation, you have the choice.

Having the comfort of being at home, you have total control over your breaks, the lighting the decor and heating.

Some of the disadvantages are, always check your rent agreement or lease to see if there are any restrictions or reference to notices about running a small office from your home.

If you are thinking about making alterations to your own premises always check your deeds and any regulations that your property has on it.

You need to check your home contents insurance and you made you need to contact them to see if you need to upgrade any part. Possibly public liability and some form of health and pension.

You may get bored, distracted and lonely, this is why it is important to have a schedule and keep to it. I find, as there are many different and various method and strategies to running a network business that I tend to have overcome this.
