Work Through These Five Common Problems In Relationships

There is little in this world that can give you as great of a feeling as having a good relationship with your partner

. A good relationship can make everything negative in your world seem insignificant and meaningless. There are always things that cause snags in relationships, so we are going to discuss five different problems and ways to be sure to assure that they do not come up in your relationship.

Money can cause problems in relationships, especially when there seems to be a lack of money. Whether you end up spending money on frivolous things that you can do without or just end up with no money left at the end of the month, here is a good technique that can get you started on working you towards solving your money problems and more importantly, getting your relationship back to good standing.

Begin by writing down all credits and expenditures to and from your account for an entire month. Document everything that you withdraw and spend from your account, including the price no matter if it is through cash or credit. Once the month is up, go back through all that you have written down and look to find ways you can cut the money you have spent in the month. Consider buying in bulk, using coupons and paying attention to when things you buy go on sale. The goal is to implement the ideas you come up with to spend money more wisely.

Many people also find that a breakdown in communication can cause a total breakdown in the relationship itself. This can cause your relationship to spiral down into a relationship that is just barely alive. Implement these ideas when communicating with your partner to avoid communication problems in your relationship. Communication should not be considered a competition where you argue until the other person gives in. Think of things from the other persons' perspective. Be concerned with resolving the argument rather than being right and remember to have an open mind when you are communicating with your partner.


Work related stress can cause a huge strain on any type of relationship. Every job has some aspect that causes you stress and in order to keep your relationship on track, you will need to know how to deal with the stress that your job puts on you. You cannot just ignore work because you need to keep your job in order to have money. We must learn to deal with it. One way to achieve this is to find a way to release all the stress from the day and be sure to do that before you reach home. One example is exercising. Being active and getting your blood pumping is an active way to get the stress from your job out of your head. Releasing this stress before you get home can not only benefit you, but more importantly, benefit your relationship.

Relationships also become strained when people put their partner on a pedestal. Realize that it is almost impossible to have two people with identical intensity in their feelings for each other. There is always one person in the relationship who likes, lusts or loves the other person more. This is just the way things are, but do not let this get you down, just be aware of it. Knowing this, you must learn to control the way you display your feelings for the other person in your relationship. You would not want to change the way felt about your partner and that is not what I am asking, but you can change the way you show these feelings. Just try to moderate things and allow them to show their feelings towards you every once in a while instead of overloading them by showing them your feelings all the time.

The last thing I want to discuss that can be detrimental to a relationship is putting your partner on a pedestal. This can cause strains on not only your relationship with your partner, but with everyone in your life as putting blame on others, especially when they are not totally at fault, is detrimental to any relationship. Realize that you are the only one who can control your thoughts and feelings. Your thoughts and feelings are affected by your perception of your outside world, but it is up to you to determine how to react to these things.
