Workers with plumbing courses may be needed for Salford scheme

Engineers who have completed plumbing courses are likely to be required for LPC Living's

150 million development in Salford, which has just been granted planning permission.

The project is part of the wider regeneration of Ordsall and will see a Morrisons supermarket, a Travelodge hotel and 359 parking spaces developed, as well as residential and retail properties.

It is likely that the expertise gained on plumbing courses will be required to complete certain parts of this scheme and development director at LPC Living Simon Ashdown claimed it is great to see a "commercial appetite" in the area.

"We are delighted to have secured planning for the whole development site now, particularly as we have signed up two national brands," he was quoted as saying.

This week, the BBC put their Oxford Road building in Manchester up for sale as part of its move to Salford, with about 800 staff based in the complex due to be transferred to the neighbouring city.
