Working Out Or Taking Pills To Aid Weight-loss

There is a lazy person in all of us, telling us to stay home

, take the easier route, and to give up on things when they get tough. I believe it is the same lazy guy voice who starts to believe in things such as weight loss pills, a simple, zero-effort solution to reducing fat and getting in shape. These individuals want to lose weight but not put in the effort of healthy eating and cardiovascular workouts. We don't put on pounds overnight, so how can a pill remove fat overnight? No such pill has been invented, and many of the weight-loss pills on the market are not FDA approved.

We want to believe so badly that a change in lifestyle is not necessary to losing fat. To date, there have been no proven ingestible compounds which have led directly to safe fat loss. The best you can get is a supplement which either suppresses hunger or assists in 'fat-binding'. Even these "weight-loss solutions" come with dietary and exercise recommendations. This seems interesting though, instead of spending the hundreds on wieght-loss pills, consumers can simple change their diet and increase the number and intensity of cardio workouts they do each week.

Many weight-loss pills are not safe. They are not FDA approved, and the companies who sell them conduct trials on their own subjects to determine the effects. These trials are not required to be monitored for ethics, or for reliability. If the trials that the company's conduct are controlled in such a manner that there is not option but for subjects to lose weight, they are still free to declare that trials have proven the product to assist in weight-loss.

Many of these products are compounds made of several different ingredients. The effect of the ingredients are made to mimic the effects of substances such as caffeine or glucose. To make consumers feel full and energized. A good salad and regular cardiovascular exercise can do pretty much the same thing and cost a fraction. Its also a natural, healthy and guaranteed to result in better health and weight-loss.


It's time to shut out our lazy voice which makes us want to believe in miracle, zero-effort solutions and take the natural, healthy, proven path of diet and exercise. Finding a good cardiovascular workout program might be your next challenge, but at least you'll know its a worthy one
