Audio visual jobs are a common within the entertainment industry, and without them the entertainment world would come to a standstill. Working in the field of AV, keeping on top is all about keeping up with all the latest AV technology. Since AV jobs are all about recording either video sound or both, the equipment used will be of importance and knowing how to use the lasted equipment will be a must. Technology changes fast in this industry and what you would have worked on 5 years ago is probably obsolete now. The editing side of AV jobs will involve some good computer skills. Music is pretty much all digital now so knowing the right software packages is important.

This industry is both exciting and exhilarating. Image you have 20 million people tuning in to watch a live TV show and you are responsible for the sound and visual to work perfectly. Maybe there is a studio audience also which means you have to ensure they can hear and see the show. You will need balls of steel working in this industry. If your thinking this is for you then get some experience by volunteering at such shows. If you work hard and get noticed you will soon be on the pay roll.
