World Of Warcraft: Information About What Guilds Are
If you're new to World of Warcraft, a lot of the jargon used can be somewhat confusing
. However, you have to start somewhere and the best place is building or joining a guild. In this game, a guild serves as a community that encompasses people of a similar mindset. The purpose of each can vary in ultimate purpose as some may raid casually while others make it their sole purpose to level up in unison. Other guilds work on a platform of player versus player combat, or player versus environment. Depending on the amount of gameplay you partake in, it is best to decide if it would be better to build your own or join a guild of your liking. By doing so, you'll be able to optimize your game play to successfully reach the overall goals of the game while also enjoying the experience with others.
First, it is best to decide what your goal is. How many hours will you be spending a week to beat certain bosses or fulfill quests? Are you looking to be a casual gamer or someone who will get really into it and spend a laborious effort in trying to reach certain milestones? What will your focus be - player versus player or play versus environment? Asking yourself these questions can help ascertain if building a guild or joining a guild is best for you.
If you decide to build your own guild since you feel your interests don't fit the construct of others, you must implement a set of recruitment rules. If you're looking to quickly add players that will aid in quick game progression, it might be best to have a level cap meaning a similar level to what you are on. However, if your focus is more on fun and making friends in the game, the level may not be that important to your recruitment. Also you must be realistic in you endeavors as certain advanced players are not going to join your guild just to carry you through parts of the game. The most important thing to remember is to be positive and have a good attitude. You're playing the game not only to win, but ultimately to have fun. So try and pick players by being clear on what you intend to do with your guild - like how many hours they can raid with you each week. In the long run, this will help prevent a lot of frustrating moments.
Once you start your guild, you henceforth become the guildmaster and must be able to know what your members expect of you. Be sure to accommodate their needs and questions so they are happy to help and be part of your team.
Lastly, don't expect being in a guild or guildmaster to be easy. No matter what, you are part of a team and that requires communication and understanding. If you do this, you'll have a much more enjoyable gaming experience.
