World Paper Money Will Take A Bow To Computerized Transactions

This would appear to be out of the proverbial Ripleys Believe It Or Not

. But as mind-boggling as it may seem, word has it that in the not so far future, world paper money could very likely be replaced by electronic-digital currency.

Even the very thought of such a concept would seem astounding and rather unacceptable to the human mind. But then, in the not too distant past, so were two hitherto unheard of brothers who went by the name of Orville and Wilbur Wright. Their unbelievable machine has made travel across the oceans so easy, a mere silky smooth pillow to rest and wake up to.

The human mind is such that it makes even the most acceptable facts seem unacceptable. Brains are only prone to the acceptance of the old. Rare is the intellect that accepts the new and the novel. Coins and paper money have been in use almost since, well not since dinosaurs and stone aged men clubbing women stone cold on their heads for wives, but at least since the human race became an intelligent species, so to say the least.

Thus then is as inconceivable the notion of the replacement of this age old form of currency, as was the concept of man or woman for that matter, taking to flight. People are used to things. They are comfortable with them. Change is not a boon. It is a burden. Not acceptable a notion is the notion of a currency alteration.

But, when you let that good old Edison light bulb flash in the head for just a moment, bingo, you will realize that we already are using a replacement for paper dough. Plastic money is already here. Eternal bliss of electronic wizardry to the rescue of the final frontiers of human development. Wired digital magic you may choose to label it.

Far easier, numerous and less complex are the ways to make payments in the bill based society of today. Press a couple of buttons and what do you know, your payment goes through electronically. Now that was quite obvious without saying it.

Give it whatever name you want, credit card, debit card, computerized payments, wire transfers, these are nothing new. They have been there since the new modern day marble and limestone age. The days when humans started to rule over their mighty man made concrete jungles looming large all over the planet Earth, or rather the semblance of what is left of it.

At this very moment, all over the globe, approximately 85 percent of non cash funds are being converted to digital money. The days of world paper money are numbered and there is nothing that you or I can do about it. It is the wheels of progress at work. Take it or leave it.
