In many cases, you end up grabbing a gift that is only one step above junk - something they'll never use. Even if it's cute, funny, or just something you know they don't have, don't purchase a gift that will be useless to the person on your list.

No woman gets excited over a vacuum that means she'll be doing more housework. Think twice before giving gifts like gym memberships and anything else that may be construed as a hint to lose weight.
