Wow Warlock Guide - Where You Should Spend Your Talent Points

Don't go starting a warlock without proper talent build planned; you will need the right one in order to survive and crushing your adversaries

. Just like other classes, you can focus on one of the three talent trees; for this warlock guide, I will focus on affliction warlock.

Affliction warlock using DoT (Damage over Time) as their main killing method with some talent from other trees just to raise survivability. Haunt is your bread and butter spell; it comes with three devastating effects: shadow damage, raising all DoT damage, and add the damage dealt to your health; complement it with Life Tap and you will get a killer combination. These are other talents that you need to get:

1. Improved Curse of Agony; enhance this spell damage by 10%

2. Suppression; increase hit % and lower mana cost.

3. Improved Corruption; increase your corruption damage by 10%.

4. Improved Drain Soul; as you kill by using Drain Soul, you will get 15% mana.

5. Amplify Curse; lessen curse's cooldown.

6. Fel Concentration; just to open the next talent.

7. Nightfall; give you chance to enter Shadow Trance state.

8. Empowered Corruption; boost your corruption spell.

9. Shadow Embrace; good for DPS and debuff.

10. Siphon Life; kinda like Vampiric effects back in Warcraft 3.

11. Improved Felhunter; regain mana ability for your pet, good when pairing with Dark Pact.

12. Shadow Mastery; enhance your Shadow spell damage or life drain by 15%.

13. Eradication; probability to increase spell casting speed.

14. Contagion; power up your DoT and make it even harder to debuff.

15. Dark Pact; use it on your pet to gain some extra mana.

16. Malediction; raise both your spell damage and the chance for periodic critical strike.

17. Death Embrace; makes you even more powerful at near death state (health below 20%) by adding drain life and damage bonus; the last one will make the fight shorter.

18. Unstable Affliction; another good DoT spell with nasty surprise for any player that dare to dispell it.

19. Pandemic; increase critical rate by your DoT.

20. Everlasting Affliction; restart your Corruption spells duration; this will make your opponent even more frustrated.

Blend some Demonology talents:

1. Improved Healthstone; boost the effect of your healthstone, just for filler.

2. Demonic Embrace; enhance your survivability from AoE attack.

3. Fel Vitality; raise the stats of your pet, thus very useful for Dark Pact.

There are many variations even among the Affliction focused tree itself; other World of Warcraft Warlock guide may suggest different Warlock talent build such as mixing Shadow Bolt to make better use of Nightfall talent, adding Immolate, etc. Simply by making use of the most appropriate build that match your playing style and your team abilities, you can use your warlock at its full potential.
