Wrap Up Warm With Equestrian Clothing

No matter the weather, your horse needs to be looked after

. This means that you have to venture out, come rain or shine, to feed and work your horse. You just need to ensure that the equestrian clothing you choose are adequate enough to keep you warm.

Working out in the cold isn't fun, and can become a hazard. When you're cold, sometimes you loose the ability to function as efficiently as you should. This could be both physically and mentally and if you loose control whilst riding, it can be dangerous. It is imperative that you remain warm when riding.

Equestrian clothing offer a huge range of garments to choose from, from t-shirts to jumpers, jackets, jodhpurs and breeches, boots and competition wear. There is always something for you during the cold winter months. And what makes equestrian clothing so special is that is designed to not only look good and keep you warm, but also to aid you whilst riding or working. Most times a jumper and a jacket are enough to keep the chill away during the cold months, but sometimes the temperature can drop to extreme lows. The best way to keep warm is to layer. Like you do with horse rugs during cold days and nights, you use an under rug under their usual rug to help trap more warmth and keep it close to their body. You can do the same by layering with t-shirts and jumpers under your jacket.

To keep warm, you also need to stay dry, but when working outside that isnt always possible. This is why you can find waterproof gear among the equestrian clothing range. These include waterproof trousers to go over your original jodhpurs, protecting them from the wind and rain. Match that with a waterproof riding jacket and you will remain warm and dry, no matter what the weather throws at you.

Theres nothing worse than having to work when you're feeling cold, wet and miserable, but by wrapping up warm with adequate equestrian clothing, you won't have to worry about what the weather will hold in store again.
